This demonstration at Talisman Energy USA in Horseheads, NY was organized by Shaleshock.org and was in response to NY Governor Cuomo's plan to allow hydraulic fracturing in NY's Southern Tier -- Steuben, Chemung, Broome, Chenango & Tioga counties -- as reported in the NY Times on Jun 13, 2012. Talisman was selected for this action because of their dismal violations record in wells they frack just across the Southern Tier border in Pennsylvania. Approximately 150 residents from all over NY participated. This is the first of many actions planned for Summer 2012.
